KT-BOX: Challenges and Aims
Key challenges
The programme will focus on a number of areas, which have been identified as key challenges for organisations:
- Building and managing service organisations
- lnformation and knowledge management for services
- Predictive maintenance and diagnostic technology
- Costing long term service contracts in the face of uncertainty
- Measuring and realising customer value in service operations
- Managing service supply networks
Aims
To meet these challenges the project will aim to:
- Develop software tools, workbooks and training materials for industrial practitioners to apply the latest research to real problems
- Provide simple tools enabling general managers to audit current capabilities and identify opportunities
- Embed knowledge transfer associates in industry, providing the resource to develop and apply new techniques and processes
- Combine toolsets and industrially relevant demonstrators to show the value
